My fiancée and I are just starting walking in Derbyshire, a friend suggested this site, and it's proven to be extremely useful! We tried the Curbar Edge walk today, The directions were excellent and will definitely visit this site again for our next outing! Thank you.

Brilliant site. The little pictures are ideal as they give you an idea what you will see. The White Peak is an area I'm just starting to enjoy having explored the Dark Peak a lot.

I am trying to plan three days walking in the peaks with my brother this summer. I want to find a base where we can park his RV and possibly walk from there on three different walks, returning each evening to the base. Does anyone have any suggestions to help us?

I was walking your Chatsworth circular walk that includes a public footpath that runs through Beeley Hilltop farm back to Beeley village. Unfortunately the Hilltop farmer had locked two metal gates that had the small yellow footpath signs beside them plus about 40 cows behind the second gate.

the blockage of this right of way forced me to have to walk back to Beeley via the very busy B6012 where the traffic was very fast and with no footpaths. It was a very dangerous situation created by a negligent farmer.

An absolutely fantastic website. Did two of these walks this weekend with our two boys and two dogs. Great descriptions, very well graded.

A beautiful part of the world and we will be revisiting to complete the rest of the walks as soon as we can.

Thank you so much for the trouble you have gone to to create these routes.

Excellent site Peter, these walks certainly epitomise the beauty and tranquility of the Peak District. I've personally done most of these but there are some hidden gems in here.

Recently got in to walking again, and as a New Years resolution as a Group of friends have decided to go walking once a month in the peaks! Your website has been very inspiring and we have agreed to pick a different route from your site every time! Will keep you updated on our progress, the first will be 15th Jan on the Chiltern - Longmoor route!
